About Ed
After graduating from Northern Michigan University with a BFA in photography, I began my photography career as the studio manager and on-staff assistant at Tony Kubat Photography. As digital imaging began to redefine the future of commercial photography, I realized there was a unique opportunity for me to adapt with the changes in the industry as well. Advances in technology gave way to the expectation that the photographer and their staff take responsibility for digital imaging, and in response, I immersed myself with mastering image manipulation from its very early beginnings. Over the past ten years, I have become experienced with every evolution of Photoshop, and with this aptitude my professional role gradually evolved from Studio Manager to Digital Manager.
With 17 years of experience in commercial / advertising photography, I decided it was time to embark on a new and exciting path. 2014 marked the onset of my transition to freelance work as a Digital Tech in the Twin Cities - working directly with photographers, agencies, and art directors. I enjoy building close relationships with clients and identifying solutions to overcome the multitude of challenges that come with working on set. As a freelance professional, I look forward to providing you with the time and attention your projects deserve.
